RAMQ

Some dental services are covered by the Quebec health insurance plan (RAMQ) for all children under 10 years of age.

 

Services covered by the RAMQ for children aged 10 and under:

• Annual exams, emergency exams, and X-rays
• Local or regional anaesthesia
• Grey amalgam fillings for premolars and molars
• Tooth extraction
• Root canal treatment
• Crowns
• Oral surgery

 

However, dental cleaning, dental scaling, fluoride application, pit and fissure sealing, and orthodontic treatments are not covered by the RAMQ

 

We will make sure to discuss with you the different options available and the rates of the treatments not covered by the Quebec health insurance plan.
